Timeline for External Examinations/Certification 2008 and 2009
A timeline for the collection of enrolments in courses of study, results in school assessments and marking for external exams is currently under consideration.
The implementation of a new student record system, together with the courses of study, will change the way we currently collect enrolments and results and the organisation and marking of the external assessment.
Change will first occur in 2006 with the conduct of the Aviation external assessment. This will be followed by the conduct of external assessments in three further courses of study at the end of 2007. (One of these courses will be in English, which will replace the current English TEE subject.)
In 2008, examinations for current Tertiary Entrance Examination subjects will be replaced by courses of study external assessments (exams) with the exception of Mathematics and LOTE. Further courses of study will be added to the exam system in 2009.
